Offering everything from the majestic backdrop of the animals of North American Hall to a 400 person reception under a towering 42 foot T-Rex in Dinosaur Hall, the Academy accommodates groups of all sizes. Our auditorium holds 395 guests and has A/V capabilities. Our historic 200-year-old museum is home to several fascinating exhibits including Dinosaur Hall, North American Hall, African Hall, and our ever popular Butterflies! exhibit. The Academy offers unique event experiences with add-ons including live animal presentations, behind-the-scenes tours, and drawing on the dioramas. With the natural world inside our walls, the Academy has the perfect space for your next event.

The Academy of Natural Sciences, the oldest natural history the Americas, features fun, informative family exhibitions inspired by the Academy's rich history of exploration and environmental research. Dig for dinosaur fossils, stroll among live butterflies, touch a live animal, learn the importance of watersheds, explore diorama animals from around the world, take a behind- the-scenes tour. 

In a 2016 report by Best College Reviews on the nation’s top higher education natural history museums, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University was ranked second out of 30 college and university natural history museums. Size of the museums’ collections, opportunities for college students, community involvement and access to the general public were all factors in the decision.
